Sign Installer / Service Technician

Michael Sign Company in Ephrata, PA has an IMMEDIATE opening for a full-time sign install /serivce technician to join our quickly growing team.
We are seeking a motivated, reliable, go-getter willing to work a fast paced job and able to perform tasks individually or as part of a team. Must be self-disciplined and able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining efficiency, quality and meeting deadlines. This job consists of working outside in all types of weather conditions.
EXPERIENCE:
• Previous sign experience preferred.
• Preferred experience in operations of a crane truck, bucket truck, boom, forklift and scissor lift. If you do not possess these skills you must be willing to learn them.
• A good working knowledge of electronics and ability to wire illuminated signage, install LED’s in channel letters and trouble shoot issues that arise during service and installation.
• Welding skills not required but a plus.
• Experience in installation of vinyl and window graphics a plus.
• Basic carpentry skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lead a team. Must be able to assess the scope of work and make the appropriate assignments to team members.
• Must be prepared for all aspects of a job.
• Leadership qualities, organization and a positive attitude.
• General knowledge of hardware and good use of hand and power tools.
• Problem solving skills and ability to diagnose and repair electrical signs.
• Ability to climb ladders, work out of a bucket truck and be comfortable with heights.
• Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling and lifting (up to 75 lbs.)
• Must be able to read work orders and follow instruction.
• Attention to detail.
• Strive to improve and promote quality.
• Good communication skills – both oral and written.
• Must be able to work extended hours including evening / night hours when necessary.
• Occasional overnight stays to complete out-of-town installations
• Valid driver's license, a clean driving record and reliable personal transportation
• Comply with all safety standards.
• Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines.
SCREENINGS:
• Must be willing to consent to drug and background screening and must be able to pass.
• Motor Vehicle Report Review (driving record).
Must be willing to be trained in other areas of the business and perform other projects and tasks as assigned.
